Waxing Hair Removal
Amongst the various ways in which you can get rid of unwanted body hair is waxing. This is a highly effective temporary method of hair removal. Through this process the hairs are removed from their roots. The way this process is conducted is that a thin layer of wax combination is spread over the skin. Then a cloth strip is placed on top of the area and pressed. With a quick movement the cloth strip is ripped off taking away the hair and dead skin cells with it. The result is that you are left with smooth hair free skin.
When compared with other methods of temporary hair removal waxing has a lot more benefits. Firstly the hair that is waxed out takes a longer time to grow back than it would by shaving. Secondly by means of waxing the hair is removed completely from the follicle leaving just an active area of cells. On an average the hair in the waxed area will take anywhere from between two to seven weeks to return. And when it does it will be softer and thinner than usual. Areas of the skin that are suffering from irritation, pimples, warts, rashes or sunburn should not be waxed as the results could aggravate the condition.
If you continue the practice of waxing on a particular area for a long period of time then the hair becomes so weak that it eventually stops growing in those regions. Waxing is definitely not prescribed for people suffering from poor blood circulation or varicose veins and diabetes as this will make their prevailing condition susceptible to infection. There are certain do’s and don’ts about waxing and if followed then the process will not give you any problems whatsoever. One of the things to avoid is wearing tight fitting clothes over areas that have been freshly waxed. This will greatly reduce the risk of developing irritation and ingrown hairs.
Applying the technique of waxing right after taking a bath is not a good idea because the hair will be wet and this will make things difficult. The application of the wax should be done in the direction of the hair growth and not opposite of it. The excess wax that is left over on the skin after waxing can be removed by using a warm moist towel. With all these stipulations and the added burden of the pain that you feel when ripping off the cloth strips waxing has remained a popular means of temporary hair removal. The only reason behind this is that it is by far the most effective means of doing so.
There is almost no part of the body that you cannot wax from the legs to the upper lips, chest, back and arms. Traditionally this method of removing hair has been used solely by women. Men would much rather live with all their unwanted hair rather than go through the painful process of waxing. Nonetheless it continues to be one of the most cost effective ways and practically effective means of hair removal today.
