Hair Removal Creams
Removing unwanted body hair is a necessity for human beings. Many tools and techniques have been evolved for this purpose. From plucking tweezers to laser treatment all of these are inventions that were made to solve the problem of removing unwanted hair. But amongst the painful process of tweezing and the high cost laser treatment is the middle ground; hair removal creams.
Hair removing creams offer a safe and effective way in which one can get rid of all the unwanted body hair on any part of the body. This is not a permanent solution rather it is one of the most user friendly temporary solutions that you will find in the market. The creams will look and feel like ordinary body lotions and are to be applied on the desired area in the same way. After a couple of minutes you have to wipe the area with a cloth and viola you are left with hairless smooth skin.
The science behind hair removal creams is that they are depilatory agents. At no point does the cream penetrate the skin rather it acts to remove the hair on the surface layer alone. To get a clear understanding of the way these creams act one can take the similitude of how cleansing agents dissolve dirt. In the same way the chemical ingredients inside the cream act to weaken the hair follicles eventually dissolving them. The hair that is not dissolved with the use of this cream becomes incredibly weak and you can remove it by wiping it with a warm towel.
Generally the best time to apply hair removal cream is after a hot shower. This is because the steam from the hot water helps to loosen the hair follicle. Being stretched further from the layer of the skin they become even easier to remove with the cream. After taking a bath apply a generous amount of the cream on the desired area. You should avoid rubbing the cream as that could lead to it becoming invasive and it may get forced into the pores. The best way is to gently dab it on the surface of the skin. The prescribed time for which the cream must be left on the skin is generally given on the package of the cream which shouldn’t be more than 5 to 8 minutes.
After that prescribed time has passed you can use a warm cloth or towel to remove the traces of the cream from the area of application. After this process you will need to rinse the skin with warm water so as to cleanse the pores. You can do this by stepping back into the shower. One thing to remember is that you should not use any other chemical skin product on the area that you used the depilatory cream for about three hours at least. If however you see your skin has become dried then you can apply a bit of oil to moisten it. Basically the cream will do for you what other hair removing methods do. They will remove the hair only for it to come back again. But it is still better than most other methods of temporary hair removal.
